When the Old One cracks open our second, dreaming minds, the piles of alphanumeric character which we writers put together in our articles will no longer have any meaning....

Until then though, here's mine again! https://open.substack.com/pub/samrake/p/his-house-at-rlyeh?r=32fu8f&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

Hey - how do I make my short story part of Macabre Monday? Sorry, I'm new to Substack and very confused lol.

Just share a link to your story in a Substack note on a Monday and tag the MM team (the chronicler, shaina read, jon t., john coon) and other weekly participants in the note. That will put you right in the thick of the Macabre Monday madness! 😎

Are longer works of horror acceptable?

Definitely acceptable. We have several people who share weekly installments of their own horror serials with Macabre Monday crowd.

Great, thanks! Now I just need to finish it 😁

I am sorely tempted to write a seplechural story about the great plains.

Lovecraft has the ocean locked tight, and it's excellent.

But there is something more frightening sometimes about being alone under a dark sky when certain animals begin to yowl, cry, and howl.

I think the Macabre Monday ghoul parade rocks. It's a shame I haven't finished any horror stories yet but sometime, I'll join in the spooky march once again. Keep it up. I have yet to read all the stories here. Don't think I can do that in one sitting but maybe sometime I can chug some down.
