It’s fun to watch what Macabre Monday has evolved into on Substack in only a few months. Our collective love of horror has given birth to a thriving community where authors can share their stories and find readers.
A note
posted this past week inspired me. Their note credited the Macabre Monday community with giving them a chance to be seen and heard. Building an audience for their fiction met with major obstacles until they started sharing stories with the MM crowd. Fast forward a few weeks and Cobol’s newsletter is thriving. New stories are eagerly consumed by devoted fans.Macabre Monday is truly a rising force within the horror community, and — like the proverbial undead zombie horde — our ranks are swelling daily.
Sepulchral Roots
We’ve enjoyed seeing stories tied to our Sepulchral Roots community project roll in throughout June. You all possess incredible imaginations and found fresh and original ways to skillfully weave Lovecraftian and eldritch horror into your narratives.
Stay tuned later this month to see a selection of our team’s favorite Sepulchral Roots stories. I encourage you all to check out these dark tales on Substack if you haven’t read them yet.
