Tales From The Crypt forever!!!! 😍 Creepshow, Cat’s Eye, waxwork, House (1986 version), Beetlejuice, The Shining, Evil Dead, and The Return of The Living Dead are just a small handful of my horror fandom origin story. My father was Mexican so I basically started watching horror films/shows straight out of the womb 😂

The Haunting (1963) and The Shining (1980). Nothing has ever topped these for me.

It's crazy, for though I have not read a lot of horror books, I do love a lot of horror shows. Goosebumps, Are you afraid of the dark, Tales from the crypt, Halloween franchise, Evil Dead franchise, Train to Busan, I am a Hero, and much more. I guess in a way, I have always been sort of attracted to it and occasionally when I read horror from the lovely community here, I come to appreciate it even more.

Thank you for taking the time to read my ramblings and the mention too.

My friend Tim introduced me to Tales from the Crypt, and we would mimic that Cryptkeeper laugh during the opening credits... or any time we wanted to invoke that spooky feeling, especially ironically!

TFTC was amazing, along the lines of Amazing Stories, Twilight Zone, Creepshow... all great anthologies that had their macabre runs during the 80s.

Love this memory! I have a serious soft spot for horror anthologies because of all these great shows. They just...warm my heart.

Same! It also invokes all those old horror magazines from the 50s and 60s, which are just delightful.

Thanks for including me in the roundup!

That tales intro still makes me feel so many emotions when I watch it. I can't remember a single episode though haha

Stoked for your book! I started rewatching last year and it is admittedly very cheesy. As a kid though...
