Dinner party sounds MASSIVELY clever. Quick questions:

- Is it Current Year?

- Do we know the sender of the invitation?

- Are staff at the party playable characters (garbage man, butler)

I'm HIGHLY INTRIGUED!

Oh and i suppose you dont know the sender. This way everyone will be on the same page

What do you think Jon, should we open up the possibilities for people to play not only the guests but also the characters like cooks, butlers, etc?

I think just guests to keep it simple and dialogue focused

Didnt say they had to be “human “ though

I just RSVP'd, figured i'd make it easy and not try and play a garbage man 😂

The year is timeless. All past , current and future worlds are welcome. There will be a host type character. But we want this to evolve with participation rather than confine the narrative. There may also be some macro level surprises along the way.

I'm like the vicarious creeper in every horror movie, just kinda looking on while everyone writes some awesome horror.

Carry on. Don't mind me. I'm a horror trope prerequisite; nothing to see here.

You might be the second course Andrew. Now go drink a couple of milkshakes.

Good point. Sometimes the creeper turns out to be the monster, though.

This is intriguing! I feel like I need to know what sort of commitment this would take. Great idea 👍🏻

You could always come to the party and then wander into the wilderness. I dont think it should feel like a commitment.

The dinner party play concept is interesting, but I think I'm going to pass on it sadly. Closest I've ever come to a script format is writing out the scene by scene/panel by panel plot beats and dialogue for my webcomic and that was a far cry from anything resembling the traditional format. Best of luck and good fun to those who take part, I'll be curious to see what comes of it!

The dinner party sounds like fun! I don't have time to join, unfortunately, but I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes

I am VERY interested in this. But is it happening today or next week? I’m out of town without internet next Monday so I may have to skip...

It will happen over the next number of weeks. Rsvp and you can come late to the party, but I can’t predict how the other guests might react. :)

This sounds fun! I think I may need to attend. Thanks for mentioning Monster of the Week!

Of course 😁 We hope to see you there!

This sounds awesome!! Am trying to put together a character for it now. Will try to have something in by the end of the day. How does the collaborative writing work? Do things unfold naturally, or is there a bit more structure in how the story is put together?

We’re going to keep it pretty open and see how that goes. We will be using a shared doc. There is a guide character that may move things in one direction or another.

Happy you’re interested!

Ah, ok. I'm working through some ideas to send through now, but am not opposed to some tweaking once I'm more involved in it. A guide character definitely does sound helpful

Should have something sent through in a few hours
