I'm really loving the "community projects" section, encouraging folks to work together, and even providing a couple of places where that can happen.
If anyone's interested in a nonfiction collaboration, I'd be super into the idea and happy to contribute a portion. I feel like there's a lot of interesting ground out there worth exploring, and stuff I'd enjoy thinking about. Besides writing about the genre itself (EG, horror novels, shows, or movies), there's plenty of other stuff in the realm of the macabre to be written about.
If nobody in particular wants to "own" a nonfiction section like that, maybe we could take turns hosting.
The community projects have been, undoubtedly, the best thing that arose from the random Suff chaos. At risk of exposing future plans, we are looking to lean into the community project aspect of writing come the new year!
Great idea! I believe there is a lot of potential for collaboration on the Macabre! Going to restack your comment so everyone can see your offer to collab.
I owe it to Maya for really driving the interest in collaboration and bringing the idea to MM. After the Suff, she really took charge with Blackwater and proved without a doubt that people want community projects. Now Cole has his Penter Painter project which is seeing just as much success.
I think the goal now for MM is to be a home for collaboration and promotion. That being said, changes are coming along with the new year.
Hamish, every time I tag you for Macabre Monday I always wonder how many people accidentally tag Hamish McKenzie by mistake. The thought of him getting like 20 or 40 notifications about Macabre Monday makes me laugh.
Great interview with Jeff. I enjoyed learning more about you.
Hey if I inadvertently pick up a few accidental subscribers that way, I won't be complaining. I appreciate you taking the time to read the interview. Thanks.

Thanks, Jeff. I can't say I'm surprised that you're already thinking about something more. Creating a home for collaboration is a great service.

I'm here for all of it. Gimme a shout if you need a hand w/anything in particular!
Thanks for the spotlight Jeff, it's much appreciated.

You deserve it Hamish. Thank you for such a great interview! I hope to hear updates on your path to making it as a traditionally published author.
