usually carve a pumpkin and leave it out so the local kids will know to come up to the door - however since the bloodbath last year, there's not many fresh tender ones left so I think I will be eating my own body weight in chocolate bats.
This year, I get to help build the haunted house at my kid's school. It should be a blast. Of course, we will trick-or-treat! I don't think I'll be entering the contest this year but am so excited to read the stories!
I'll be posting an extra story on Halloween. Otherwise, giving out candy and horror movies all night. I always carve two jack o lanterns, one for the porch and one for my coffee table because I love the smell of burning pumpkin 🎃

As far Halloween traditions... I always dress up for the kids to hand out candy. It's simple, but I love figuring out what to be every year.
