What a magnificent Macabre Monday it is to take a nice stroll through the graveyard of our work.

With this being the last post before Thanksgiving, I would like to take a moment to say Happy Thanksgiving to all the ghouls and goblins, witches and warlocks, monsters and devils that are part of this amazing community.

Whether you’re a writer, reader, contributor or stalker, I am thankful for you all being part of this and giving Macabre Monday your support.

I’d also like to take a moment to say how thankful I am for the Macabre Monday team.

Welcome back to The Cemetery, a once monthly promotional event for all the twisted horror writers that you can find right here on Substack. This is absolutely the best way to find the nightmarish works of aspiring horror and dark fiction authors.

Go check out last month’s Cemetery post, there are dozens of amazing pieces of work to choose from that will remain in the graveyard for eternity. You can find it here.

Writers: post (link) your work below in the comments, but please share no more than 2 pieces. If you don’t want feedback/critique make sure to post that in the comment. It does not need to be strictly horror in order to share, as long as it remains within the realm of speculative dark fiction feel free to share your work here!

Readers: visit the comment section to browse the work of many talented writers. The cemetery has a mind of its own, and probably won’t allow you to leave, so you may as well be entertained for your prolonged stay! Feel free to leave feedback, many writers are looking for some kind of critique, but please honor their wishes if they say they do not want feedback.

In an effort to keep it organized and easy to spot what you are looking for, follow the below guidelines to help everyone out!

🦇- If you are a reader, or a writer, and have a question for anyone, begin your comment with a bat and then follow it with your question.

💀- If you are sharing work(s) that are short stories, begin the comment with a skull and follow it with your favorite paragraph from the story.

🪦- If you are sharing work(s) that are serialized stories, begin the comment with a tombstone and follow it with a pitch of your stories plot, characters, etcetera.

🥀- If you are sharing work(s) of poetry, begin the comment with a wilted rose and follow it with your favorite line or two from your poem.

👻- If you are sharing work(s) that include essays, reviews or anything else that is not mentioned above, begin the comment with a ghost and follow it with a description of what you are promoting.
