Hi y'all—Ma Cobb here fillin in for Jonny T—says his eye got stuck in a zipper or somethin weird. Anyhoo, so I was sittin by the hearth last evenin, warmin my slippers, rubbin my callouses and listenin to the radio, and gosh my belly so full of Sunday roast beast I could hardly rock my rocker, and I'm thinkin 'bout how dang big this group of Monday lovin' misfits has become. Gosh, it's quite a number. Closin on a million I'd hazard to say, who knows, but I don't believe I've had the chance to hear from all of ya.
So, shout out in the comments and give us an introduction, or for our faithful early 'dopters, a reintroduction. And while you're at, do your best to unsettle me from this cozy perch, Lord knows, I'm getting a litle comfy round the middle and could use a dash of the ol queezy and uneasy to keep me on my toes. So do your best, cuz after a day of butcherin, I'm as numb as a frozen toe in the deep freeze.
And speakin of body parts, I got me this new axe after my grandkids lost ol Abram somewhere down by the gulch. Maybe you can help me name my new beauty with somethin fittin. Hickory handle and a carbon steel head. Extra heavy, the way I like it.
And that's a good parlay, into this week's heavy duty hitters—have a click at the notable works from the village below. Also, I'd be a darned fool, to not give a shout out to all the great writers that are making this collective a dark force to be reckoned with every week. Your formidable imaginations are a wonder to be sure. All ya.
ps—be sure to watch out for a special Macabre Monday TUESDAY highlight edition tomorrow from

Oh hey, I’m Honeygloom, I write 100% Plant-Based Horror and run the Horror Haiku Club, but also dabble in other gruesome delights. I don’t have much of an introduction as I sprang from the void a fully formed ghostthing, but I’ve been on Substack for just over a year and can’t imagine haunting any other place.
Hi hello! I'm Jean and after blogging on Substack on and off for a few years, I launched Through a Glass, Darkly back in January, which is the main hub for my fiction (mostly dark), as well as occasional musings on the paranormal informed by a Biblical worldview. After over a decade of involvement with both traditional and indie publishing, I've gotten just a little bit jaded with the publishing industry, so for the time being, Substack is my main publishing venue. It's going fairly well and I'm actually having a good time writing again. I'm serializing my published books here, as well as posting new and original fiction. And for the time being, all of it's free, so stop by and check it out.
And it might be a new axe, but Old Faithful seems like a good name.
