PLEASE READ - Some updates to the way we do things
A NEW WAY OF DOING MACABRE MONDAYS
It is that time of the week again, when we tag one another in all our Macabre-est of happenings. As of last week, due to Substack updates, the notifications have gotten out of control. The little ghouls that run this thing got together for a discussion on how we might facilitate all of your wonderful horror stories better. We came up with a plan. Instead of the dreaded TAGGING that all of us have been complaining about since the beginning (and which has now made life on Notes nearly unbearable) we are going to do the following:
Continue to POST in Notes on Mondays.
ONLY TAG THE ADMINS. Myself (Shaina Read), Jon T, and John Coon.
If you want to share it with the Macabre Monday community, PASTE THE LINK IN CHAT under the current Monday’s thread.
ENGAGE by clicking the links to each participant’s notes in the thread. Comment, like, restack, and read. Without the tagging, the notifications will be specific to your note. Beautiful.
Please comment if you have any questions. These first couple of weeks will probably be bumpy. We may have some people tagging on accident. Spread the word, and we should be back to our happy horror day in no time.
A GOODBYE (FOR NOW)
Some of you who have been around for a bit may have noticed that I left one of our wonderful admins out in the first bullet point. That was on purpose. The always creative, ever gracious M.E. Beckley (aka The Chronicler) has taken a break from grave tending. She will still be in the community, so make sure to check out her incredible stories. We will miss her brilliant presence here, but the Jo(h)n’s and I are carrying the torch forward.
This is a short, admin-ish post, but I hope it will help ease some of the difficulties of participating each week. As soon as I hit send here, I’ll create this first Monday’s thread, add a link to this post, and see how things go. Feel free to comment if anything goes awry so we (the admins) can work out any issues before next Monday’s gathering.
